Pune RTM Scheme 2022 represents a statuory authority constituted by the Government of Pune under the Pune State Housing Board act , 1982 and is mandated with the develpoment of various housing schemes & related infrastructional facilities in the state. The objective of the board is to ensure provision of quality housing accomodation at affordable prices for all sections of the society. Towards releasing our mandatated objectives we work on "No Profit No Loss" basis. A mechanism of cross subsidy across targeted schemes for different economic groups of the society has been formulated i.e charging a higher rate of interest from HIG/MIG to counter subsidy component provided to weaker section schemes. We go for outright market loans by which we acquire, develop, construct and sell properties to targeted groups. The allottment process is governed by Pune State Housing Board (Residential Properties Management and Disposal) Act, 1983.
Currently , the Poverty ratio of Pune is 55.3%. This Means of the weaker sections in Pune lives in slums and slumm-like conditions without adequate basic facilities. With rapid urbanization in Pune, Urban Employement growth rate has incresed by 1.66% which results into migration of more and more people from the rural areas to major cities in search of employment, thereby making the situation even worse. The supply of affordable housing is constant and remains limited, whereas, the demand for affordable housing is increasing.
